Founder & Design Principal

Design leadership grounded in how projects are actually built.

Tony Bennett is the Founder and Design Principal of Bennett Design Studio, bringing more than 24 years of experience to residential and commercial projects throughout Southern California. He guides each project from early design through construction documentation, permitting, consultant coordination, and construction support. His work is grounded in thoughtful design, clear drawings, honest communication, and practical solutions that can be built.

His residential experience ranges from carefully considered additions and remodels to custom estates approaching 18,000 square feet. His broader background includes large-scale educational, commercial, multifamily, medical, and federal projects, giving him a strong foundation in technical coordination, code compliance, constructability, and the approval process. He brings that same level of care and discipline to every home, regardless of its size or scope.

At Bennett Design Studio, every project is treated as a personal responsibility.
Tony takes the time to understand how each client lives, what matters most to them, and what their property and budget will realistically allow. He believes good design should respect the client’s investment while making the most of the opportunities available. His goal is to provide thoughtful guidance, dependable communication, and careful attention from the first conversation through permit approval.

"Drawings that respect code, craft, and the way good building has always been done."

Based in Vista, Tony is known for calm communication, disciplined follow-through, and a willingness to take ownership of difficult coordination issues. His goal is straightforward: develop a thoughtful design, produce a coordinated set of documents, and help the project keep moving.
